SEND Report

Welcome to the Harrow Way Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) pages. We hope you will enjoy reading about the variety of ways in which Harrow Way School is able to support SEND students to reach their full potential.

  • Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) is Mrs Emma Law

  • Our Assistant SENCO is Miss Sophie Chilcott.

  • Our Assistant to the SENCO is Mrs Vicky Seren.

  • Our Governor with responsibility for SEND is Katherine Wagg.

  • Harrow Way School is a mainstream school.

At Harrow Way School we welcome everybody into our community. The school’s motto is “Learning for life, success for all’ drives our curriculum design and approach to learning.

Every student at Harrow Way School has the opportunity to follow National Curriculum subjects as well as following an appropriate GCSE curriculum pathway. Our pathways and options programme allows for personalisation, with additional time in the core subjects should it be needed.

We are committed to narrowing the attainment gap between SEND and non-SEND students. This may include after school interventions, short-term intervention learning or other learning interventions developed on an individual needs basis.

We have good attendance at Harrow Way as students want to come to school to experience our high-quality learning environment

If your child has a special educational need or disability and you would like to know more about what we offer at Harrow Way after reading this please contact our SENCO:   Mrs E Law
