Harrow Way Community School currently have a vacancy for a Governor from the local community. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real contribution to our very successful and rapidly growing school community. We are looking for someone with the commitment to improving education for all students and to the school’s vision and ethos.
We are seeking a person with the following skills:
Essential requirements
- Commitment to improving education for all pupils and to the school’s vision and ethos
- Ability to work in a team and take collective responsibility for decisions
- Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills (i.e. word, excel and Google Suite)
- Ability to analyse and review complex issues objectively
- Ability to propose and consider innovative solutions
- Excellent Communication skills, including being able to discuss sensitive issues tactfully

- Ability to question and challenge
- Have Project Management skills
- Have links with the Community
- Experience in Health and Safety regulations and audits
