On Friday 14th July all our Year 7, 8 & 9 students will be taking part in a 16km sponsored walk from Harrow Way to the East Anton Sports Ground and back, all via the beautiful countryside that surrounds Andover. We are also delighted to be taking a small number of those Year 10s who are not doing work experience out on the road with us.
We are undertaking this epic journey to raise money for the brand new Harrow Way Parent Teacher Association. While many of you will have been aware of the active PTAs at your child’s Primary School, you will probably have noticed the lack of a PTA at Harrow Way – well, not any more! Our PTA aims to support and improve all the wonderful things we already do at Harrow Way, while adding in some great new ones. From bigger, better Christmas Fairs and providing refreshments at school events to fundraising for equipment, our new PTA will be involved in all aspects of school life. This year’s sponsored walk is a huge opportunity for the PTA to raise some of the funds they need to put all their great ideas into action and to improve the school for all its students.
