Bronze Ambassadors from the local cluster schools joined Silver Ambassadors, Chelsey Renshaw and Alice Hill, at Harrow Way recently. Young Ambassadors are chosen because of their dedication to sport and their leadership qualities.
Following some fun ‘Ice Breaker’ activities they learned about their role which this year is to encourage others to take part in more physical activity and sport and to promote the positive values in sport. This is part of the legacy of London 2012 – ‘keeping the flame burning’.
The afternoon ended with Seated Volleyball. The Ambassadors decided that this was a game that represented all the Olympic and Paralympic Values, and one which they could easily take back to their schools. It is also a really fun game! Noone wanted to stop!
Sadly, the afternoon had to come to an end. With new friends made, the team decided they wanted to celebrate in style, just like Usain Bolt and Mo Farah. Can you spot the ‘Mobot’?!
Well done to all the Ambassadors who were a credit to their schools and themselves.
