On Tuesday 24th February 2009, 37 year 10 students visited the Museum of Army Flying and Roche Court Sculpture Park. Their goal was to collect visual evidence for their mock exam project. The topics from which they chose were all related in some way and consisted of; ‘Broken or Damaged’, ‘Spheres and Cylinders’, ‘Interlocking Forms’, ‘Fastenings’, and ‘Locomotion’
A good day was had by all with some very good drawings made and notes taken. It is now time for the students to develop their ideas and translate them into a final outcome.
Harrow Way would like to extend our gratitude to both the museum and Roche Court for making us so welcome and for providing the students with some stunning displays and artwork.
Congratulations to the following students who won a prize for the most exciting sketchbook pages;
Amber Rose, Philippa Duke (Museum sketchbook winners)
Lisa Phillimore, Sarah Hartley (Museum sketchbook runners up)
Katie Woolf, Katie Brown (Roche Court sketchbook winners)
Jake Robinson, Gemma Hotchkins (Roche Court sketchbook runners up)
