Harrow Way Headteacher Michael Serridge joined a number of high profile guests and leading lights in the education sector at a recent gala evening to mark the official launch of the 2019 Parliamentary Review. The prestigious event, held at Mansion House, the private residence of the Lord Mayor of London, celebrated the highly regarded publication which features Harrow Way as one of only a select number of secondary schools from the South East chosen to appear in the publication.

Harrow Way’s best practice article was featured alongside forewords from the Rt Hon Elizabeth Truss, Secretary of State for International Trade and the Rt Hon, The Lord Blunkett, former Home Secretary and Secretary of State for Education and Employment (both in attendance at the gala evening). Interviewed for the piece, Harrow Way Headteacher Michael Serridge discusses how his relentless focus on constant improvement has resulted in dramatically improved student outcomes and increasingly strong Ofsted ratings.

Speaking at the event, broadcaster, writer and economist Ed Balls (former UK Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer) said: “This year’s Parliamentary Review follows a significant year in British politics and this is reflected in the articles from leading journalists and best-practice representatives alike.”

The 2019 Parliamentary Review is to be sent to every secondary school in the UK and alongside the forewords and best practice articles also includes a review from renowned journalist and broadcaster Andrew Neil. With such noteworthy contributions, the publication has become one of the United Kingdom’s most essential reads for business people and politicians alike.
