Harrow Way 4, Romsey School 0
The Under 16’s girls had a comfortable win against Romsey School on Wednesday in the first round of the County Cup. Harrow Way had the majority of the possession and went into half time 1-0 up through a slick cross into the box by Sky slotted in by Katie.
The defence of Chloe, Amelia, Lucy and Tumi, along with mids Paris and Jasmine were solid, preventing any kind of attack from developing, leaving keeper Ruby with little to do. Three goals in the second half secured the well-deserved victory.
The first came via a corner. Amelia’s volley was saved by the keeper but came back out to Sky who struck it into the top right hand corner. To make it 3-0, Shannon scored from a wonderful strike from the top of the box. The final goal was a great team effort, finished by Anita from the 8 yards out.
