The Year 7&8 girls took part in a 7-a-side Football tournament held at Harrow Way on Wednesday 29th March. The schools that took part were Wellington Academy, John Hanson, Winton, Test Valley and Harrow Way. Harrow Way entered two teams as did the other schools. Each team played four games.
Harrow Way 1 played excellently together as a team, with their passing being accurate as well as having good spatial awareness and great work ethic. They worked very hard; winning two games and drawing the other two, keeping clean sheets in each game.
Harrow Way 2 also played excellently, showing great commitment and dedication. They encouraged each other throughout each game and played with smiles on their faces. They also won two games and drew their other two, again keeping clean sheets in all their games.
It worked out that both Harrow Way teams had the same amount of points at the end of the group stages therefore played each other in the final. Both teams played brilliantly but it was held to a 0-0 draw, resulting into penalties. It was close but Harrow Way 1 won it by one goal.
Well done to all the girls who played, you all did brilliantly!!
