During assemblies this week my central message was again about challenge and expectations. I have asked teachers to expect even more of our incredible young people and encouraged the students to push themselves out of their comfort zone more consistently. Last year, we worked hard to significantly raise expectations around are three simple rules of ‘Be Ready Be Respectful and Be your Best’ in lessons and the students rose magnificently to that challenge. I am convinced that we still have even more potential to realise and, with continued partnership between teachers, parents and students, will continue to make great strides this year. ​
