In support of The Big Draw initiative on 18th April, this year Mrs Gibbs from the Art Department held the first stage of this year’s Big Draw event. Students from Years 7, 8 and 9 took part in the initial stage of The Big Draw by decorating a bird using their hand prints as a painting tool. The event was well supported by students and staff and Mrs Gibbs is now surrounded by red, yellow and blue birds of prey, however, the fun is not over yet. A big thank you goes to our art technician Mrs Henderson and the Year 8 & 10 art students for their help in running the event.
The yellow, red and blue birds are now cut out and ready to take part in the next exciting stage, which will come shortly after the Year 11 examinations have finished. The rumours about what is to come are already spreading about but more details will follow closer to the time.
