Year 11 Geography students enjoyed a day at the beach last week – completing their GCSE controlled assessment data collection at Lulworth Cove. Students firstly visited Durdle Door, to study the magnificent arch formation. They then walked along a part of the South West Coastal Path (recently awarded the award for the most beautiful walk in the UK) to Lulworth Cove.
In West Lulworth Village pupils investigated the environmental impacts of tourism – mapping the land use, asking other visitors and tourists a questionnaire and visiting the Heritage Centre to collect secondary data. Pupils behaved exemplary on both days and we are very proud that they have collected some excellent data for their controlled assessment.
