On 6th May, the school voted in a mock election and the students were really enthusiastic about having their own say. Lots of subjects capitalised on this by having politically themed lessons and tutors have been debating the issues with their tutor groups all week.
The school is buzzing with talk about the election and the students want to learn more about politics. One Year 11 student, Alice Hill, said that it was a “great opportunity to take part in the democratic process and to see how our results compare with the general election results”. The results were announced on the morning of Friday 8th May, the Conservatives won, followed by UKIP and then Labour.
