52 Year 7 students went on the ‘Warner Bros. Studio Tour: The Making of Harry Potter’ on Thursday 6th November.
The aim of the trip was to give students an exciting introduction to the world of English and Media. The students were be able to explore some of the original sets used in the Harry Potter films, as well as getting up close with the original costumes and props from the film series. Through gaining an insight into the process by which J.K. Rowling’s magical vision was brought to the screen, we hope students will be inspired to read the book series, and to appreciate the hard work and talent that goes into producing blockbuster films. The trip is also an excellent grounding for when Year 7 study the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone this year in English.
