On Sunday, 8 members of the Harrow Way students rock climbing club put the skills they’d gained in our after school club to the test and headed to the island of Portland to try climbing outside on real rock.
Our students provided a group to work with outdoor instructors working towards their SPA instructor award with Calshot Activities Centre. Despite cold weather, everyone had lots of climbs of increasing levels of difficulty as well as an abseil from the top of the cliffs.
The students behaviour and effort was excellent and we hope they enjoyed their first experience of climbing on natural rock.
A few photos of the day are available here.
