Andover Trees United has been shortlisted for the Observer/ Guardian 2014 Ethical Awards, in the Young Green Champions category. If any Year 7 student would like the opportunity to attend the Award Ceremony as a representative of Andover Trees United, they and a parent must be available on the evening of 11th June. The event is being held at One Marylebone, London.
Interested students should submit their names to Mrs Vanderplank by Monday morning 2nd June. One student will be selected and their name forwarded to the Andover Trees United Committee for the final selection process.
Students should apply only if:
They understand the project and are able to talk about it
AND MUST have done 1 or more of the following:
•planted a tree in the wood
•have planted a tree in the school nursery bed this academic year (ready for November/ December 2015)
•attended Plant for the Planet training in March 2014
•been awarded an Andover Trees United award (for design, naming the wood etc)
