Harrow Way Community School, in association with Aster Communities, Andover Rugby Club, Sparsholt College, Personal Best Education and the RFU, recently hosted the 8th Annual TAG Rugby Tournament for the schools across Andover, Stockbridge and the local villages. More than 450 players from Years 3 to 6, making up 38 teams, took part in the best attended festival to date. Schools taking part were: Portway Junior, Roman Way, Anton Junior, Andover Primary, Knights Enham Junior, Vigo, Balksbury, St Johns, Rookwood, Appleshaw, Smannell and Enham, Hurstbourne Tarrant, Vernham Dean, Amport, Shipton Bellinger, Clatford, Broughton, Wherwell, Wallop and Lockerley.
Group matches in the morning were followed by the knock out stages in the afternoon but with three different levels of competition (Cup, Plate and Bowl) all teams had a chance of returning to school with medals and silverware! All players are to be congratulated on their level of play, team work and sportsmanship.
