This week we have been privileged to have Lou Richie, education officer at the Hawk Conservancy Trust, come in and take our House assemblies. To each house Lou did a presentation on the bird of prey which represents their house name: Kestrels, Buzzards and Hawks.
Unfortunately they could not bring any of the house birds into school, but they could however bring in an owl. On Monday we had a visit from a young male barn owl and on Tuesday a Tawny Owl named Troy. A short video of Troy can be viewed here. Representatives from each house could have a chance at holding the Owls. Some pictures can be viewed here.
