In the run up to World Book Day on the 6th March, Mrs Caulfield has been distributing hundreds of WBD books to Harrow Way students.
Year 7 will be given the books as part of the World Book Day Tutor Group challenge and have a choice from the following titles:-
‘Jack Pepper’ by Sarah Lean ‘The Midnight Picnic’ by Lauren St John ‘How I Got Lost in London’ by James Patterson ‘I Am Not a Loser’ by Jim Smith
Year 8 will each receive a copy of ‘Horrible Histories – Terrible Trenches’ to be given out during a history lesson by Mrs Essop. A perfect choice as it is the centenary of WW1 this year and the students will be studying the topic after Easter!
Year 9 have already been given their books, distributed during a special World Book Day assembly given by English Teacher, Mr Marsh. They could choose from a choice of two:-
‘Rock War’ by Robert Muchamore ‘The Boy in the Smoke’ by Maureen Johnson
