Seven Year 10 students have recently received their Level 1 qualification in Sports Leadership.
During many events, festivals and tournaments run for the local primary schools, they have proved they can communicate well, motivate young people, organise activities and others and have been superb role models for the Olympic Values of Friendship, Respect and Excellence. In Years 8 and 9, they were very reliable members of the Leadership Academy and now, in Year 10, they continue to lead lunchtime activities and support large events.
Miss Sturges said: “For many years, Laurence Smith, Anthony Wharton, Jordan Simcox, Brendan Harris, Tyler Hiscock, Abby Wheeler and Chelsey Renshaw, have proved to be excellent leaders and it is a pleasure to be able to award them their certificates and badges. Congratulations and thank you!”
