Today was like the Arctic, minus 22 degrees at resort level. Who knows what it was at the top, but it made you shiver. The children have learnt a lot about how to cope in the cold weather. They just got on with it and were very uncomplaining. We think that skiing may have been quite important to them.
The students were all ski tested this morning and at lunch, seemed happy with their results. This afternoon they went out for their final blast and there were lots of sad and reluctant faces handing over their skis, boots and poles on their return.
Tonight the students were presented with their certificates and badges by their instructors and said their fond farewells. The chief instructor was very complimentary about the behaviour, motivation and listening skills of the group. So the perfect reputation of Harrow Way on ski trips is still in tact. Long may it continue!
All the students are now packed and in bed as we have a very early start in the morning. We hope that you have enjoyed this series of ‘Strictly Come Skiing’.
That’s all folks!
