Today the weather was cloudy with sunny intervals, which showed real promise for an excellent day’s skiing and we weren’t let down. The snow truly is amazing and has allowed for great progress due to the confidence that is gained from having such great conditions. Today we followed the two beginner groups and enjoyed watching them develop their techniques and tackle several chair lifts, which for some, is a challenge in itself due to the height they dangle in the air. Unfortunately for the teachers there were no cabaret acts or gymnastic performances because they all ski far too well. Boo!
Tonight they all took part in a quiz evening with the winners being the ‘Green Runners’ i.e. Cassie Weeks, Harvey North, Abby Wheeler, Holly Guiver and Matt Cook. Clever clogs! Their prize is to carry staff skis all week, although they don’t know it yet.
The pictures are worth a thousand words.
