On Saturday, Harrow Way Community School was presented with a cheque for £1728.66 from the Jamie G Sporting Trust. The school is in the final stages of applying to various sources for funding to enable us to refurbish the school’s old and condemned climbing wall. This will enable us to offer indoor climbing to both our students and to the wider community.
The Jamie G Sporting Trust has very kindly pledged the money to fund the necessary climbing equipment for this project, which they formally presented on Saturday, Jamie’s birthday, to Rhonda Sturges (School Sports Co-Ordinator) and Mags Todd (Community Education Manager).
The school has one more funding hurdle to complete to enable this project to proceed, but we are confident that the money pledged by the Jamie G Sporting Trust puts us in a strong position for this and we are enormously grateful for their support.
