Harrow Way School played host to an Andover Rotary Club conference: ‘You Decide…!’ held on the 9th March. Harrow Way’s Year 10 Unicef peer educators attended as well as students from Winton and Test Valley School. The aim of the conference was to learn about the ways in which infectious diseases threaten the world’s population – and how we deal with this threat. The morning started with talks from lead professionals on infectious diseases and the limitations of vaccinations. The students then, in groups, took on the role of the ‘Government Health Emergency Committee’; they had to advise the Prime Minister on how to protect the population against two very nasty pandemic diseases.
