Sixteen members of the Key Stage 3 Leadership Academy headed off to John Hanson School on Friday for the first ever Andover Inter School Dodgeball Competition. Organised by the John Hanson Leadership Academy, it was an exciting way to end the week.
Using the British Heart Foundation Ultimate Dodgeball rules, the games were a little different to how Harrow Way students are used to playing. However, the teams rose to the challenge and quickly got used to the different tactics involved. Their first match, Harrow Way 1 versus Harrow Way 2 was especially close and exciting!
Miss Sturges was impressed with the Harrow Way team work and the respect shown to each other. The John Hanson Silver Ambassadors were also impressed and awarded Harrow Way 1 the Respect award. Well done to them!
A huge thanks to John Hanson Leadership Academy for organising the competition and the lovely refreshments. We look forward to welcoming them back to Harrow Way next term.
The teams were:
Harrow Way 1: Charlie Harper (Team Captain), Allen Garrett, Nicola Penwarden, Jodie Wilson, Laurence Smith, Emma Jones, Beth Jeffries and Callum Bendall.
Harrow Way 2: Tyler Hiscock (Team Captain), Anthony Wharton, Chelsey Renshaw, Abby Wheeler, Chantelle Gleed, Brendan Harris and Isis Haywood-Mann
