Owen Woodley, Charlie Donnelly, Emma Helsdown, Emma Jones, Chelsey Renshaw, George Willetts, Matt Jenkins, Ellie Roche and Kelly Butler set off for Mountbatten School last week for Superstars 2010.
They would have to compete in seven different events against students from three other schools: indoor rowing, vertical jump, speed bounce, chest push, multi target station, 600m run and golf.
Ellie Roche was the Superstar 2009 and she did not disappoint this year, winning the golf, rowing and chest push. Her excellent all round performances meant she was the clear Year 9 girl winner and earned the title Superstar 2010. Emma Jones also qualified for the Superstar final in July, coming third in the Year 7 girls’ competition. She also won the 600m run. Emma Helsdown was very close behind in fourth place. Matt Jenkins also competed well and was unlucky not to make the finals, finishing in fourth place.
Well done to all the competitors who performed very well and who were all a credit to themselves and Harrow Way. Thank you for a lovely day!
