A group of 14 Year 9 Students have successfully completed a week of ‘Boot Camp’ with the army at Worthy Down.
The group attended every day from the 6th – 10th of July as well as an overnight stay on the Wednesday. They were put through their paces on obstacle courses designed to test their ablility to work as a team, were put through multiple fitness tests by army Physical Training Instructors, mentally tested in the classroom, trained to gather intelligence and report back their findings, were taught to build shelters and to cook in the outdoors from standard army ration packs and finally put through an intensive physical obstacle course as an end to their week.
All the Students involved deserve to be congratulated on their excellent behaviour and attitude to the course – they all set a great example for the school while attempting all the challenges asked of them with enthusiasm.
