As a reward for their fantastic fundraising efforts with the Spelling Bee, Year 7 was rewarded with a visit from Paul, a performer from Shooting Stars Circus Skills on Monday 27th April. Circus skills have been shown to improve concentration, retention of information and self-awareness. Initially students were given mini workshops on the use of a Diablo, flower sticks and juggling balls. Then everyone had an opportunity to try something from a whole range of activities – from stilt or tightrope walking, balancing on unicycles and the impossible bike, to plate spinning, mini clown bike riding and much more.
