Eighteen Year 11 students received their certificates and badges recently, in recognition of their achieving a Level 1 in Sports’ Leadership. The course was the first of its kind to be run at Harrow Way. The students worked hard throughout last year, learning to plan, prepare and assist in sporting activities, to communicate appropriately, run a health and fitness session, understand and promote fair play, officiate and research where sport can take place in the local area. They particularly enjoyed leading pupils from all the local primary schools in Tag Rugby, Rock-it-Ball, basketball, girls’ football and Tri Golf. The year ended with the Sports’ Leaders running their own Tri Golf festival for local Year 2 pupils. A huge congratulations to them all!
