Up early for a healthy breakfast and then into groups for the morning activities. On offer were Abseiling, Trapeze, Archery and Team Challenge. A lot of students conquered personal fears as they climbed a 25 foot telegraph pole and launched themselves into thin air. Some of them also showed their prowess off with a bow – I do believe I saw some bullseyes being scored.
After a refuelling stop we boarded the coach for Paris and got off at La Defense. After admiring the La Grande Arche we grouped together and investigated shopping vocabulary. Nice shopping centre! Another short coach ride took us to La Tour Eiffel. Well done to everyone – a full house – everyone made it right to the top – even Alice! Most of us were also extra keen and walked down from the second level. Straight away we crossed over to the Seine and boarded the Bateau Parisien and enjoyed a wonderful cruise up the river, starting and finishing with a wonderful twinkling Eiffel tower. We were lucky enough with the weather to be able to sit outside and students should have some excellent photos.
There was only just time to come back to the chateau and tuck everyone into bed – an early start tomorrow!
