Year 9 high achievers in art have been introduced to the process of using ‘gallery sheets’ to gather visual information in response to an exhibition. In this case it was a display on animal welfare issues which they contributed to themselves. The students have made small sculptural responses, maquettes, which have led to bigger sculptures. These are currently being created in an after school club. Work in progress includes materials such as clay, chicken wire and mod roc, and textiles.
