Another grueling day in the saddle. This is becoming less and less enjoyable and many of the team are finding the going really tough. There were lots of massive hills again, some of them 1:4 or steeper and that meant walking for Dan and Woods, but now they were joined by Rob. The hills posed no problems for Francis and Josh who seem to have the uncanny ability to ride their bikes up vertical walls with almost no effort. How they do this is a complete mystery.
The team were rewarded for their huge efforts with a super fast descent into Barnard Castle where they were reunited with Jon at his family home. This of course enabled them to vent their spleens at his stupid hilly route. But tempers were soothed by a delicious roast dinner served up by Jons Mum and Dad. A huge thanks goes out to them.
