To enhance their Science studies, students from Year 8 and Year 11 were treated to an opportunity to experience one of two presentations – either “The Planets and the Stars” or “The Life of Stars”, when the National Space Centre brought the “Stardome” to school for the day.
The Stardome, pictured right, is an inflatable planetarium, inside which the stars can be projected. Hannah Adams of the National Space Centre, pictured below with one of the groups, kept the students enthralled with the presentations, which literally brought the stars to life. Their verdict? “It was great!”
The Stardome visit was a prize donated to the school by First Partnership, which is the business education partnership for our area and an organisation with which we enjoy close collaborative links.Â
