On Sunday 22nd April, 9 students who attend the club before school were treated by the School Sports Partnership to a morning out at Calshot. This was a reward for all the early morning training that they had attended to date and to develop their self-confidence and team building skills.
At Calshot the students took part in two sessions, the first activity was rock climbing and the second activity was ski bobbing.
The rock climbing was a real personal challenge for some of the students, and for many, a real sense of achievement.
Simon Renfrey took the Spider Man impersonation award, closely followed by Ayesha Edwards.
After the climbing, everyone had great fun ski bobbing. Some were far better at steering than others but all enjoyed the adrenaline buzz caused by the speed and crashes!
The day finished with the group having their packed lunches on the sea wall in the sunshine. A perfect end to a great day!
