Nine Harrow Way students took part in a lantern making workshop at ‘The Lights’ in Andover on Sunday 12 November 2006.
Each made an amazing lantern using withy sticks and tissue paper. Shapes included pyramids, stars and angels. A tiny torch was inserted into the structure which was switched on, on the evening of Friday 24 November 2006, when the students paraded through the town as part of a ‘candle-lit’ procession, culminating in the switching on of Christmas lights in the town.
Students will each receive an ‘Art in the Community’ certificate from Harrow Way Art Dept.
